Description:The Faculty of Education at the University of Windsor is home to dedicated graduate students from around the world, who engage with faculty members to bring awareness to the changing and growing discipline of education. The Faculty of Education offers well established and growing graduate degree programs, including an international cohort MEd, a domestic MEd, and a PhD. The domestic MEd, which includes domestic and international students, offers a choice of three areas of specialization: Curriculum studies, Educational administration, and Language acquisition, culture and society.

With the knowledge obtained from each concentration, our students can incorporate many different approaches directly into their own classrooms, workplaces, and future scholarly endeavours.

Admission Requirements

Test Scores:
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Computer Based) [min. 250] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 7.0] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 100]

All applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate proficiency in English to be considered for admission.

In addition to the requirements for admission to the Faculty of Graduate Studies, it is recommended that applicants to the Master of Education program should have: an undergraduate degree with appropriate grade point average and cumulative grade point average; a bachelor of education degree; at least one year of successful professional experience in education; a Statement of Academic Objectives and Research Interests; and a Selection of Area of Concentration form.
