Description:The chemistry concentration includes full-year courses in general chemistry, organic Chemistry, analytical chemistry and biochemistry, along with courses in mathematics and physics. Students are also able to take environmental chemistry, offered as an off-campus course at the Au Sable Institute of Environmental Studies in Michigan. Foundational courses in philosophy and history of science will provide you with a broader framework for understanding the context of modern chemistry. During your studies, you can also be a lab assistant and work alongside your peers and professors to get the hands-on experience that you need. More advanced chemistry courses can also be taken at nearby McMaster University. Summer research opportunities exist on campus as well as through summer co-op opportunities.

Successful completion of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, with a minimum average of 65% and the proper advanced level courses including six Grade 12 University (U) or University/College (M) -level courses, one of which must be Grade 12 U English. Students must also submit a completed application, including all recommendations, official transcripts, a signed statement of life and conduct, and application fee before an admissions decision is made.
