Description:

Master's degree graduates can continue to the doctoral level in the same or related area within Kinesiology at Western, or elsewhere. Master's degrees can also lead to other professional programs such as medicine and physical therapy, or provide specialization and enhanced marketing, and related governmental fields.

Students may pursue a either a Master of Arts (MA) or Master of Science (MSc) degree in any of four fields of study. Students must select a faculty advisor and should contact them before applying. Students wishing to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) degree are enrolled in the Integrative Biosciences of Kinesiology field.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    ▪ Graduation in Honors Kinesiology or equivalent with a first or high second class standing over the final two years (i.e., minimum of 75%) or graduation from an accredited university with an equivalent degree and standing.
    ▪ Graduation in other related fields with a first or high second class standing over the final two years (i.e., minimum of 75%) and completion of any deficiencies that may be determined by the Kinesiology Graduate Affairs Committee.

    The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). (Internet Based 105, Paper Based 620, Computer Based 260). Western's TOEFL ID is 0984.
    The International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) of the British Council. (7.0/9.0) - with no individual score less than 6.0.
