Description:

The Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Distance Education Technology (PBDDET) is offered by Athabasca University's Centre for Distance Education. The program is intended for practitioners who are specifically interested in issues related to the use of technology in distance education and training, but who do not intend, at least initially, to pursue the Master of Education in Distance Education degree. The PBDDET provides usable skills and applicable knowledge in the use of educational technology for distance and virtual learning, along with a basic grounding in distance education concepts and principles. The program also provides some student choice in the selection of courses.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
Applicants to the PBDDET program must hold a baccalaureate degree from a recognized post-secondary education institution.

    • CanTEST or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration)
