Description:The PhD program is the first doctoral program in critical disability studies in Canada. It offers a comprehensive curriculum covering major scholarly perspectives contributing to the field of critical disability studies, enabling a multi-disciplinary group of students to critically explore disability in relation to social policy, social justice, human rights issues, and social movements in Canada and internationally. The program focuses on broad social and policy issues from a critical and multi-disciplinary perspective, examining disability in the context of interconnected social, political and economic factors.
