|Description:||This degree is typically a three-year program and focuses on air quality, water and soil assessments, as well as waste management and sustainable development. Students taking this degree aim to gain a deep understanding of biological, chemical, geological and engineering principles in the environment. Graduates from this program have successful careers in technology, consulting with government, industry and many public corporations.
In this program students progress through an understanding of the fundamental sciences (Biology, Chemistry & Geology) underlying environmental study, passing through to an examination of key environmental subjects (Air Pollution, Environmental Engineering & Hydrogeology). The program then culminates with an environmental policy and planning focus in the final year. This program is available in a three year format, consisting of 105 credits over 3 years. Year 3 is available entirely via distance education format.
