Description:

The four-year Northern Collaborative Baccalaureate Nursing Program (NCBNP) prepares students for entry into the Registered Nurse profession. The program is offered collaboratively with the College of New Caledonia (CNC) and the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC). After completing two years of study at CMTN, NCBNP students continue at UNBC Terrace Campus (or transfer to a partner site) to complete third and fourth year of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN).

Graduates are eligible to write the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) and to apply for registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP) after passing the exams.

Students must have a minimum mark of 73% in Biology 12 within 5 years prior to semester of admission to the NCBNP.
Additional Admission Requirements:
    Upon acceptance into the program, students must provide evidence of current immunization status for diphtheria, tetanus, poliomyelitis, measles, mumps, and rubella; a Mantoux test (PPD) for tuberculosis and Hepatitis B and Varicella, as well as documentation of CPR certification, level C, which must be maintained throughout the program. They must also undergo a criminal records check.
