Field of Study:Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies

Description:If you're an academically strong student with a range of interests, consider Waterloo's Knowledge Integration (KI) program. More than a traditional arts and science program, Knowledge Integration lets you diversify your interests rather than specialize. KI's foundation is broad - from math and sciences to ethics and public speaking.

Focus on the subjects that interest and challenge you most. Use your knowledge in design projects, an international field trip, community service, and a senior research project. You’ll spend 8 months in class, and then have your summers free to further explore your interests. Students work for a wide variety of employers, continue with classes, or just take the summer off. The flexibility of KI lets you decide. KI at Waterloo is a way for you to integrate all of your interests, rather than narrow them. Surrounded by a group of students who are as diverse as you, you’ll create connections between all of your areas of study and interests.
