Description:This six-semester advanced diploma program provides you with in-depth academic preparation in massage therapy theory, and hands-on professional experience in our state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. Our robust massage education curriculum will allow you to develop the knowledge and skills required to conduct a systematic client assessment, develop a specific treatment plan, perform safe, competent and comprehensive massage therapy, and evaluate the outcome. These studies are combined with areas of focus in the development of entrepreneurial and business management skills, an understanding of the process of scientific inquiry, and opportunities for collaborative interprofessional practice.

Following completion of our program, our graduates are eligible and well prepared to write the registration examination set by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.

If English is not your first language, refer to the English Language Proficiency Policy in this publication • Grade 11 or Grade 12 Biology (SBI3C, SBI3U or SBI4U) • Grade 11 or Grade 12 Chemistry (SCH3U, SCH4C or SCH4U) or Grade 11 or Grade 12 Physics (SPH3U, SPH4C or SPH4U) or Grade 12 Exercise Science (PSE4U) • One Grade 11 or Grade 12 C, U or M course in addition to those listed above

Test Scores:
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 550] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Computer Based) [min. 213] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 80] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6] or Michigan English Language Assessment Battery [min. 76]
Additional Admission Requirements:
    Upon acceptance and prior to the start of classes, students must have a Police Records Check, Current Heartsaver AED (C) and Standard First Aid Certificates, and a complete immunization record.
