Description:

This one-year full-time programme leads to the Degree of MSc(Agr)(Mode II) in Environmental Resource Management and provides postgraduate training in development and utilization of land resources in an environmentally sensitive manner. The programme is concerned with the nature, utilisation and conservation of land and biological resources, the impact of agricultural and industrial activities on the environment, and the planned development and management of the rural resource.

The programme is designed to accommodate candidates with a variety of academic qualifications including primary degrees in Agriculture, Engineering, Geography, Economics and Science. In so far as is feasible, the programme content will be adjusted to take account of the background, interests and long-term aspirations of individual students. The programme comprises nine months of formal teaching followed by a three month project.
