Description:

Graduate study in Sociology at UNB prepares you for a variety of careers and our graduates have gone on to work both inside and outside academe. The MA Program ensures that the students acquire a thorough knowledge of sociological theory, methodology, and a body of literature in a substantive area of sociology.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Masters applicants require an undergraduate Major or Honours degree in Sociology (or equivalent) and a minimum GPA of 3.5 (a B+). Students with an undergraduate degree outside of Sociology may be considered following completion of additional courses equivalent to a Sociology Major or Honours degree. (Please contact the Sociology Graduate Studies Director for more information.)
