|Description:||Brock University is an ideal location in which to engage in tourism studies. The University is uniquely positioned on the Niagara Escarpment (a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve) and is minutes away from Niagara Falls, one of the world’s premier international tourism destinations. The Niagara Region is also home to more than 100 wineries and a wide variety of rural and sports tourism operations, golf courses, gaming facilities, hiking and bicycle infrastructure, and cultural and heritage attractions.
Our program is designed to meet the needs of a rapidly evolving industry, incorporating principles of sustainability (economic, environmental, social, and political) in tourism management and planning. Students will develop transferable skills in many important areas, including research skills, communication skills, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively with others. Students will also learn to incorporate innovative, creative and responsible opinions and perspectives into their future endeavours.
