Description:

The Five Elements Acupressure Diploma program will appeal to the individual who has a natural gift in connecting with people and has a strong interest in bodywork. The program is a blend of Worsley Five Element theory, Jin Shin Do system of acupressure, Neurolinguistic Programming, Hakomi theory, Emotional Freedom Technique, and more, where the acupressure points are accessed from a physical, emotional, and spiritual approach. Anatomy and physiology, communications, ethics, and business courses are an integral part of the program to enhance the development of professionalism and success in setting up a practice. An indirect supervised clinical practicum is ongoing throughout the duration of the training for guidance and consultation to ensure confidence upon graduation.

Through a dynamic mix of distance learning, classroom training, and clinical practicum (externship), the program has been developed to accommodate students from varied geographical areas across Canada. The student directs the pace of the program based on their particular needs. Upon graduation, participants will be qualified to offer their skills to the general public as a Five Elements Acupressure Practitioner in either a self-employed private practice or as an employee of a multidisciplinary clinic. Because this program is recognized by the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada, you may apply to this national organization for membership, which includes professional liability insurance among other benefits. Accredited by the Private Career Training Institutions Agency of British Columbia ensuring that your training and College has met the maximum regulations for private career colleges in the Province.

    High school diploma or equivalent. Entry into the program begins with either the distance learning or the Basic Jin Shin Do® classroom training.
