Description:

MTI’s Tourism and Hospitality diploma program will give you the skills needed to be employed in the fast growing tourism industry. With the city of Vancouver hosting the 2010 Winter Olympics, there will be increasing demand for Travel and Tourism employees. You will gain business and field related theory and practical skills necessary for success in your new career. As part of your hands on training, you will learn both Apollo and Sabre, the two main computer reservation systems used in the Canadian travel industry. After successful completion of this program, you will sit the CITC exam. Graduates in the Tourism and Hospitality Management diploma program will receive certification from the prestigious Educational Institute of American Hotel and Lodging Association (AH&LA). Your career in Tourism and Hospitality Management will prepare you to work in a wide variety of careers in the tourism industry such tour operators, cruise specialists, airline reservation agents, airport gate agents, travel counsellors, and hotel front desk agents.
