Description:Aviation and aerospace industries demand a new breed of specialists who have well-developed analytical and decision-making skills along with the academic background to help them understand complex aircraft systems. Science and Aviation at Waterloo provides a strong science and technology education along with advanced flight training leading to a Commercial Pilot Licence.

Your science education will be coupled with courses that include cartography, climatology, geographic information systems, geomorphology, and remote sensing. Through a partnership with the Waterloo-Wellington Flight Centre, you'll receive at least 200 hours of flight experience at one of Canada's largest and most experienced flight training centres. You'll learn to fly and attain your multi-engine and multi-instrument ratings.

Two of the following are required: Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Space Science, Mathematics of Data Management, or Physics. Chemistry, Earth and Space Science, and Physics are particularly recommended.

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) or Michigan English Language Assessment Battery or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration)
