Description:

Surround sound, interactive CD's and DVD's, iPods, audio has come a long way since the early days of vinyl. If you are interested in professional engineering in the digital age or just learning how to work with and create sound, the Audio Engineering program is the perfect educational vehicle. You will be equipped with a solid skill base in the procedures and equipment used in professional multi-track recording and sound reinforcement environments for music/sound production and post-production for film/video, TV, and new media. You will train in top quality recording studios using the latest linear and non-linear recording technologies. Once the basics are mastered, your will then refine and apply the higher level skills required for longterm career success in the audio industry. Practice and integration are emphasized along with technical expertise, production and project management, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills. Training is applied through projects modeled after real world scenarios.

You will leave with professional training, ready for employment in areas such as music engineering, audio post, editing, ADR and Foley, sound design, audio for interactive multimedia and other emerging technologies, audio for game production, location audio, live sound reinforcement, and home based or independent audio production.
