|Description:||Environmental Science is, by its very nature, a multidisciplinary program. A balanced portfolio of sciences and related subjects will build depth in areas of biology, geology, geography, and chemistry. Environmental ethics, risk and impact assessment, and environmental sustainability will be integrated. Through this breadth of subjects, students will understand the nature and impact that humans have on the habitat, on both the local and much wider scale. Set in the context of Northern Ontario, the program addresses challenges on land and aquatic ecosystems, while it aims to integrate the historical importance of the region’s resource industry.
