Description:Environmental Science is, by its very nature, a multidisciplinary program. A balanced portfolio of sciences and related subjects will build depth in areas of biology, geology, geography, and chemistry. Environmental ethics, risk and impact assessment, and environmental sustainability will be integrated. Through this breadth of subjects, students will understand the nature and impact that humans have on the habitat, on both the local and much wider scale. Set in the context of Northern Ontario, the program addresses challenges on land and aquatic ecosystems, while it aims to integrate the historical importance of the region’s resource industry.

Either 2 sciences or 1 science + 1 math Ontario secondary school students who apply for admission to first year at Laurentian University must present an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), as well as at least six grade 12 4U/4M courses (as specified in each program listing) with the minimum grade requirements.
