|Description:||The Biomedical option provides courses that give students a strong background in the disciplines within Biology that are relevant to medicine. Graduates of this human biology-based specialization are well prepared for careers in a biomedical field, graduate studies (M.Sc. and Ph.D.), teaching, human medicine (physician, physician's assistant), veterinary medicine, dentistry, chiropractic, naturopathic, and physiotherapy.
This specialization includes courses in human anatomy and physiology, cell biology, biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, histology and embryology. As well, students can choose elective courses from the Social Sciences or Humanities, and from other disciplines.
