Description:

The objective of the Ph.D. program is to immerse students in the excitement of original discovery, and bring them to an internationally competitive level of achievement. The program is designed to provide a broad knowledge of Physics and training in techniques of physics research, as well as training in the art of scientific communication. Students are fostered to operate with autonomy in analyzing scientific work and in setting research objectives, with the ultimate goal being for them to thrive as independent researchers. Research Interests: Atomic, molecular, and optical (AMO) physics; Materials science; Biomedical physics.

  • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 220] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 83]
Application Notes : All applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate proficiency in English to be considered for admission. A Graduate Record Examination (GRE) Advanced Physics Test score is helpful to the Admissions Committee to evaluate your application more completely.
Additional Admission Requirements:
    Minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 75% in the last 2 years of full-time study. Possession of minimum required CGPA does not ensure admission. The actual admitting average varies and is competitive.
