Description:

The main duties of a physiotherapy assistant is to work alongside the therapist in helping to teach and train patients to work and live efficiently within their limitations of mobility. Your focus would be on assisting clients to regain and strengthen their range of motion capabilities and allow them to actively perform their daily routines. The main duties of an occupational therapy assistant is to work closely alongside the therapist in helping them implement activities and exercises specified in a treatment plan developed for each patient. They will be responsible for administering and participating in group and/or individual activities for patients with various disabilities or disorders, including hearing and visual impairment, spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis, depression, and Alzheimer’s.

The Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Assistant diploma program focuses on the most important areas in the field, including development and function of the human body, and rehabilitation plans and techniques. The significance of frames of reference and patient charting are introduced early in the program, including mock therapy sessions concentrating on various disabilities. Robetech students have the advantage of working within our simulated massage and rehabilitation practical rooms, which have various machines and equipments.
