This programme is a full time intensive 1100 hour course consisting of both classroom and practical training. This programme has been condensed from a two year to a one year programme in order to accommodate student preferences.
The Education Assistant provides a valuable service in an area of support, designed to meet the needs of students with special needs. The role varies from situation to situation, but some of the more frequent assignments include assistance with the delivery of special education programmes, resource centre assignments, kindergarten assistance, school to community support and one on one assistance for hard to serve children.
