Description:

This innovative program has been designed to assist internationally trained pharmacists to acquire a license to practice pharmacy in Alberta. Our all-inclusive program provides students with an enhanced learning opportunity, integrating four distinct curriculum areas throughout the duration of study. Upon successful completion of examinations requisite for licensure, our graduates are fully prepared to launch active, successful and rewarding careers within the Alberta pharmacy workforce and greater community.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Any internationally trained Pharmacist that has the following credentials may be eligible to apply: Landed immigrant status / permanent residence, pharmacy degree from a university recognized by the Pharmacy Examination Board of Canada (PEBC), successful completion of the PEBC Evaluating Examination, Canadian Language Benchmark scores of 7 in 4 key areas or an Alberta College of Pharmacists approved language proficiency test, and intern registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacists. In addition, program administrators also consider the following qualifications desirable: Having passed the PEBC Qualification Examination Part I, Canadian work experience, current ACP intern registration, and awareness of the Pharmacy Code of Ethics.
