Description:The group in probability and statistics does research in a broad spectrum of areas. Theoretical research and methodological research for substantive areas of application are carried out. Topics include probability, stochastic processes, queueing theory, multivariate analysis, symmetric functions in statistics, finite sampling, capture-recapture models, majorization and optimal designs, biostatistics, discrete data analysis, outliers, estimating equations, bioassay, and robust statistics.
