Program Information

School:Redeemer University College
Degree:Bachelor; Honours
Field of Study:Biology/Biological Sciences, General
Description:Redeemer offers hand-on work that gives practical laboratory experiences. There are opportunities to participate in world-class, learning edge research with a faculty and student community that works and learns together. You will gain an understanding of biology within the context of a Christian, liberal arts environment — ensuring that you understand the discipline outside the lab as well.

Investigate the complexity, diversity, and intricacy of living organisms, from molecules to human bodies to ecosystems. Through small class sizes, inspiring teachers and lots of hands-on experience in the lab and in the field, you will explore the wonder of God’s creation and learn how to care for it. You will also see how your faith is interwoven through, and strengthened by, your studies in biology. With opportunities to work closely with our faculty, you are gaining valuable skills that will ultimately enhance your education as a whole.

The honours major is recommended for students intending to apply to graduate school.
