Description:

Trillium College students who apply to the Intra Oral Dental Assisting course will find it to be one of the most in-depth among dentist assisting programs. This course offers a diverse knowledge base, current practical experience and thorough and detailed field placement that will prepare students to perform competently, effectively and safely, once they gain entry into the dentist assisting profession. Students will learn a variety of dental-related skills, including dental office procedures, basic computer applications, bookkeeping, appointment scheduling and intra-oral procedures. The curriculum of the dental assisting program is H.A.R.P. (Healing Arts Radiation Protection), qualified and approved by the National Dental Assisting Examination Board (NDAEB).

Graduates of this program are eligible to write the NDAEB examination (exam dates are currently offered four times a year).

Prerequisites:

    Grade 12 equivalent or mature student status (18 years of age). Passing score on the entrance exam. Successful interview with a Registrar. Up-to-date immunization record.
