Description:This two-year Ontario College Diploma program delivered in a compressed format over 45 weeks, provides students with the knowledge and skills required to secure rewarding careers working in their local communities. The program is a practical blend of theory and practice. Courses focus on applied learning and advanced training in chemistry, biology and mechanical systems.

Water quality, water distribution and wastewater matters are among the most pressing public health concerns in recent years, and have been subject to even more rigid legislation than ever before. The program prepares students to meet the rigorous demands placed on water quality professionals, by giving them the skills, knowledge and training required to ensure the safety and proper management of Canada`s water supply. Students learn techniques to prevent waterborne illnesses, manage industrial waste and operate off-site wastewater treatment units. To complement their theoretical knowledge, students are provided hands-on training in labs and in the field. Skills learned include water sample collection, lab testing and analysis and water treatment methods.

  •  Grade12 English 

English, Grade 12 (ENG4C, or equivalent). Mathematics, Grade 12 (MAP4C or equivalent), is recommended. Biology, Grade 11 or 12, is recommended. Chemistry, Grade 11 or 12, is recommended.

Additional Admission Requirements:
    Applicants with International transcripts must provide proof of the subject specific requirements noted above along with proof of either: ◾IELTS-International English Language Testing Service-Overall band of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each band. ◾TOEFL-Internet-based (iBT)-overall 80, with the minimum of 20 in each component: Reading 20; Listening: 20 Speaking: 20, Writing: 20
