Description:

"I learned more in eight months at Sheridan than I did in four years at university." Our Marketing Management graduates often express sentiments like this. And it's easy to see why. You may learn theory at university, but at Sheridan you also gain the practical, cutting-edge marketing skills employers want and need along with a cooperative learning placement that gives you invaluable on-the-job experience. Our program is primarily designed for non-business students, so in your first semester, you’ll learn the core skills you need to understand the basics of marketing. In the second semester, you'll move to the cutting edge of the discipline through course content that demonstrates the latest concepts in digital marketing.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
Postsecondary diploma or degree and/or demonstrated competence through related work and/or educational experience.
    Additional Admission Requirements:
Eligible applicants are selected on the basis of previous academic achievement, and/or demonstrated experience. In some cases, applicants may be requested to submit a résumé, which includes details of related work experience, and a cover letter, which summarizes their career goals and reasons for wanting to take this program. Postsecondary transcripts, indicating courses completed to date, must be submitted to ontariocolleges.ca at the time of application. Domestic applicants with education outside of Canada must have their transcripts assessed for equivalency through ICAS or WES. A comprehensive (course-by-course) post-secondary credential assessment is required. Applicants who do not meet the admission requirements for this program may be advised individually regarding other related programs. Graduates of Sheridan's diploma/advanced diploma program in Business Administration – Marketing is not considered eligible for this program.

Students in this program may apply to the co-op program during their second academic semester. Enrolment in the Co-op program is limited through an additional co-op application process that takes place at the end of the first year. Students in the co-op program are eligible to complete three co-op work terms prior to graduation. The program-specific academic standard required for participation in co-op can be found here: Academic Standards for Co-op and Internship.
