Description:

The fashion designer program includes fashion sketching, pattern making, professional sewing, textiles, history of costume, marketing, and merchandising. Developing creativity to the fullest, learning and creating fashion trends, creative presentations, mastering high standards in all techniques, time management, and meeting deadlines are developed and stressed throughout the program. First- and second-year students present their own creations at Grande Premiere, the Academy's end-of-the-year fashion show. This creates a window of opportunity for exposure of our graduates and their designs.

Prerequisites:

    High School diploma or equivalent. Mature students: Worked full time for a minimum of 1 year. Students must have a basic knowledge of sewing prior to enrolling in the program.
