Description:The Earth sciences faculty members are interested in a broad range of research topics. We have three broad areas of specialization: geochemistry, environmental geoscience and geofluids. Many traditional subtopics lie within these broad areas of specialization including mineral deposits, hydrocarbon geology, geomorphology, GIS, remote sensing, hydrogeology, hydrology, and resource management.

The final examination of a candidate for the master's degree shall be an oral defense of the thesis at a public lecture.
