Program Information

School:Toronto Film School
Degree:Diploma
Field of Study:Acting
Description:Toronto Film School's 18-month program uses the Stanislavski Method (living truthfully under imaginary circumstances) to effectively blend a film and television acting focus with the critical foundations of stage technique. Through a practical, hands-on approach, you will explore all artistic, technical and business areas of acting. Not only will you learn the foundations of acting for the camera and stage, from movement, to voice and improvisation, but you will also be trained in voiceover, hosting, screenwriting, pitching, producing, directing, auditioning and career management. At Toronto Film School you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate on acting projects with film production, writing and video game students.

You will leave the program with a professional portfolio filled with a complete range of theatrical and film performances from short films to voiceovers and a professional downtown stage play, including:
- Colour and B/W head shots and resume with your plays and films
- A demo reel of your film and TV work
- A voice over
- A short film/monologue
- A list of reputable agents
- A meeting with Casting Workbook
