Description:Biotechnology is positioned to be a dominant technology in the next 50 years. Develop the skills of a scientist and an economist to take advantage of the excellent career opportunities in biotechnology and other science-based industries. Hands-on, workshop-style courses will develop your ability to apply business knowledge to industrial and scientific technologies.

Starting in second year, you'll alternate 4-month school and co-op work terms. You'll graduate with 20 months of paid work experience and be able to explore possible career areas while earning money to help pay for school. Career opportunities range from working for a pharmaceutical company to a brokerage house, from a bank or government agency to a research firm or consulting company.

  • 2 of  Grade12 Biology  or  Grade12 Chemistry  or  Grade12 Earth and Space Science  or  Grade12 Mathematics of Data Management 

6 Grade 12 U and/or M courses including: - English (minimum final grade of 70%) - Advanced Functions (minimum final grade of 70% is required) - Calculus and Vectors (minimum final grade of 70% is required) - Two of: Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Space Science, Mathematics of Data Management, Physics - The following courses are recommended: Biology and Chemistry

Test Scores:
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 90] or Michigan English Language Assessment Battery [min. 80] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5] or Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 75]
