Description:

This program is a great option for students who want to use their musical gifts to serve the Church, or who want to gain a broader understanding of Christian worship. Study worship from multiple vantage points: biblical, theological, historical, and technical, all of which come together to form a fuller picture of worship. Develop your leadership and ministry skills through opportunities in and out of class, and explore everything from songwriting to soundboards. Applicants wishing to be accepted into Briercrest College as a full-time or part-time student must:


- Have earned a high school diploma with a minimum average of 60 per cent in four academic grade 12 courses, including at least one academic English course.

- Be a professing and practicing Christian.

- Commit to live by the standards set out the Briercrest College and Seminary

Application Notes : Students who wish to enrol in the BA Worship Arts should apply either prior to arrival or during their first year. In their first semester, students are encouraged to audition for an ensemble, write the Theory Placement Test, and enrol in private lessons. Students are required to take the Piano Proficiency Exam before completion of the program. Students applying to the BA Worship Arts program are required to submit two reference letters from people who can speak to the applicants' abilities and calling as worship leaders, along with an audio or video recording. Each applicant will be required to have an interview/audition with the program coordinator.

Transfer students should contact the Worship Arts office to arrange for an audition and interview for direct entry into the program.
