Description:The School of Health Sciences has developed this diploma program to train technicians to assist the registered pharmacist in both community and hospital pharmacies in Ontario. You will learn about relevant legislation, physiology, pharmacotherapeutics, customer care, health-care ethics, hospital and retail software systems, inventory management, hospital practice, and infection control. Emphasis throughout the program is the application of theoretical knowledge to practical skills. Students interact with guest speakers, tour pharmaceutical manufacturers, wholesale distributors and hospitals, and have opportunities to attend conferences.

On-the-job-placement will commence after successful completion of the prerequisite course work.
