Description:

The MPA program seeks to equip students with the management skills required by public service organizations and an understanding of the organization, processes and policies of government, its public agencies and the policy groups that work in the public sector. This dual focus is a unique characteristic of the MPA program and makes it highly suited for those interested in a career in the public sector. It is specifically designed for highly motivated and dedicated individuals interested in pursuing a career in the service of the public, making it possible to realize advanced educational objectives and achieve academic ambitions in public policy and public management.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Applicants must have completed a four (4) year bachelor’s degree. Applications for admission are accepted from all undergraduate backgrounds. Competitive applicants will have attained at least an upper second class standing (B+ average) in their undergraduate degree.
    Test Scores:
    • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 7.0] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 580]
    • Graduate Management Admission Test or Law School Admission Test
    Application Notes : Foreign applicants whose native tongue is not English must complete a TOEFL or IELTS test and achieve a score of 580 or better or 7.0 or better to meet the requirements of the Faculty of Graduate Studies. International applicants must also submit the results of one (1) of the following tests: the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT), or the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT).
