Description:The Computer Engineering Technology program will prepare you to become a programmer with hardware and software skills. You will acquire competence in computer programming, a knowledge of basic electronics, and an understanding of the software and hardware that run different computer systems.

In your first year, you will develop programming and hardware skills with such courses as programming, basic electronics, switching and interface circuits, and assembly programming. Electronic mail and Internet access are used throughout the curriculum. The final year focuses on integrating the various skills through examining the inner workings of networks, comparing different computer architectures, and completing a major project.

Test Scores:
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 550] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Computer Based) [min. 213] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 80] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6] or Michigan English Language Assessment Battery [min. 76]
Additional Admission Requirements:
    Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications is required. Students who lack the requisite computer skills will be required to take a computer course at their own expense. Students must have acquired these computer skills before the beginning of second semester
