Description:Humber's two-year Computer and Network Support Technician program will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to become a support technician in a computer and networking environment. Students will begin by gaining a working knowledge of electronics and programming, while becoming familiar with PC hardware and operating systems. Later, they will delve deeper into networking by working hands-on using various hardware platforms, protocols, and servers. A strong emphasis will be placed on network security. Students develop essential customer service, interpersonal communications, and teamwork skills through group work and projects.

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 550] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Computer Based) [min. 213] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 80] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6] or Michigan English Language Assessment Battery [min. 76]
Additional Admission Requirements:
    Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications is required. Students who lack the requisite computer skills will be required to take a computer course at their own expense. Students must have acquired these computer skills before the beginning of second semester
