|Description:||This one-year Ontario College Certificate program provides students with the knowledge and practical skills to work as a care provider in a wide range of healthcare environments. Students develop the ability to engage with persons and/or families of various ages and health related needs to promote healthy living. Students learn how to assist clients with their daily personal care needs, such as bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting.
Through a combination of theory, lab practice, clinical/community experience, students understand how to deliver person-centered care to individuals of varying ages, encourage independence and improve quality of life for their clients.
