Description:

The Mineral Processing Operator has been designed to qualify candidates for entry-level positions in the area of mineral processing. This program was designed based on the Core Competencies outlined in the Mineral Processing Technician Occupational Standards (Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification division of Education, Culture and Employment, GNWT).

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Applicants wishing to enroll in this program must indicate an interest in working in the mining industry and must submit academic transcripts or ABE upgrading. Applicants
    may be required to complete an Assessment test(s) and must provide a current resume. Those in possession of Letters of Intent from prospective employers will receive preference. Successful completion of the Ready To Work North course is mandatory for continuing with the mining related courses.
