Description:

The Master of Applied Gerontology (MAG) professional degree is designed for health professionals who work in the field of gerontology and recent graduates from a range of undergraduate programs who intend to pursue a professional gerontological health career. The goal of the program is to advance theoretical and applied gerontological practice knowledge and skills. The program prepares graduates to positively influence gerontological health practice, gerontological program administration, and the health and well-being of the ageing population through innovative policy and practice approaches in the field of gerontology.

Successful completion of a four year Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Health Sciences, Kinesiology, Psychology, Recreation and Leisure, Nursing, Public Health (or equivalent), with an average of no less than 75% (B). The Graduate Admissions Committee will review all applications and recommend admission for a limited number of suitable candidates. Admission to part-time study is not normally available. Individuals interested in part-time study should consult with the Graduate Program Director.
