Description:

The northern baccalaureate nursing program is a collaboration between the University of Northern British Columbia, Northern Health, and Northern Lights College to train registered nurses in the North for employment in the North. When enrolled in this program, you will take all general studies and prerequisite courses for admission to UNBC in your first two years (four semesters) of full-time study at Northern Lights College. In year three, you will transfer to UNBC in Fort St. John to complete your Bachelor of Science in Nursing in two years (five consecutive semesters).

You need 60 credits of eligible university transfer courses that include a number of prerequisite courses to enter the baccalaureate program. For details on UNBC’s admission requirements, visit their program information page.

If you would like to gain admission to the first cohort in 2020 and you already have a minimum of 30 transferrable-to-UNBC credits, we offer a fast-track option in the 2019–20 academic year.
