Just as you get past the stress of the first semester you’re being thrown back into the world of assignments, tests and presentations. However, with a fresh mind from relaxing over Christmas break and a newfound sense of motivation you are ready to face this new semester. Consider some of the following school year resolutions to help you leave behind old bad habits and enjoy your last semester of high school;

Focus – Do you know that feeling you get when you sit down for a test and you start to panic because you didn’t study enough? This year, try avoiding that horrible moment by turning off Netflix, your phone, and anything else distracting you in order to make the most of your study time.

The Importance of a Head Start – This semester stop leaving assignments to the last minute. By starting your assignments far before they’re due not only do you avoid the unnecessary stress but you also create a better finished product.

Stay Organized – Whether it’s through a calendar, day planner, or white board make sure you keep on top of your due dates and set goals to reach throughout the semester.

Get Involved – You’ve heard the saying, high school can be some of the greatest years of your life. One way to make sure you have a great experience is to get involved so join that club or try out for that team before it’s too late!

Spend Time with Friends – Make sure you take some time out of your busy schedule to meet up with friends and make new ones. With friends going off to different universities hundreds of kilometers apart, you’ll be thankful to have the memories you made and your bond will help you to conquer the distance.
