The Application Process!

How do you complete the application?

Save

  • Keep to the required format and within the specified word limit.
  • Ensure you have a good introduction.
  • This doesn’t have to be artistic – just start writing, BUT, spelling and grammar ARE important!
  • Do your research and mention all the things you like and know about your chosen subject area – what interests you, what you don’t yet understand, how it will shape your future career pathway, what sort of skills you have already to prepare you.
  • Write down all the interesting things about you – what you do at school (academic and extra-curricular), family holidays, part-time work, volunteering, interests etc.
  • Make sure anything you say is relevant to the course and is backed up with evidence.
  • Would you be happy discussing everything you have mentioned further at interview?

You may wish to consider the UK as a study destination and if so, you can make application via the UCAS system, or many institutions accept direct applications:
