For students at FDU Vancouver, the back to school season isn’t limited to September. We offer three semesters Fall, Spring, and Summer, which means more flexibility for you. Many of our students take summer off to explore our lovely city of Vancouver and take advantage of British Columbian summer weather, or get their hands busy working in various summer jobs. Others decide to commence classes. Either way, whichever suits you, we can accommodate!

When you do begin classes, you’ll be immersed in the university culture during Orientation- an incredible week-long event that is designed to introduce students to academic, social and cultural life at FDU Vancouver. We offer a welcome breakfast first thing, which is a great way to get to know your new class buddies and create new friendships. You’ll meet professors and staff and familiarise yourself with the campus as a whole with a campus tour. There are student orientation leaders who can show you how to sign up for different clubs, ask questions and tips and help out with anything you may need. As an added bonus, throughout the week we will take you on a bus tour around Vancouver so that you can become familiar with your new beautiful surroundings! These are just some of the events that will take place as you prepare to begin your semester.

Once orientation is done, you may not be sure which courses would be best to take. Your academic advisor will be on hand to help you through the back to school process by answering questions, assisting with course selection and planning, and making sure you are aware of all the resources available to you as a student, whether you are starting fresh or continuing as a current student.

The start of the school year is also a great time to check out all the opportunities to participate in extra-curricular activities such as our Model UN club, Toastmasters Club, volunteering, exchanges, work experience, all of which will reflect well on your resume as well as be a great learning experience.

Don’t forget at FDU –Vancouver campus every freshman undergraduate student will receive a scholarship! There are multiple award amounts based on certain criteria- to find out more about eligibility, deadlines and what scholarships we offer, visit us at http://view2.fdu.edu/vancouver-campus/ or send an email to vancouver@fdu.edu !
