Pathways for Building a Career

There is nothing more exciting than heading out into the workplace. For Seneca College students taking this step is one that is done with great confidence and ease. Seneca currently provides students with numerous pathways that allow them to gain real-world experience while completing their education.

Students are always looking to increase their personal professionalism, and one way that Seneca ensures that its students are workplace ready, is through co-op placements. Personally, one of the main reasons I chose Seneca was the co-operative education opportunities. As a Social Media post-graduate student, the added value of a real-world co-op is irreplaceable. My placement has allowed me to understand what is required of an individual who is looking to pursue a career in the profession of social media marketing.

Currently Seneca offers a variety of programs that include a co-op opportunity, including Travel and Tourism, Veterinary Technician, Business Marketing and Fashion Business. Aside from these co-op programs, Seneca provides students with the resources to find exciting jobs. They provide students with exclusive job postings for on-campus work opportunities, while teaching them how to find other postings online. As a student I always struggled with creating my resume, but with the tips and advice listed on Seneca Works, I was able to produce a resume that was professional and up-to-date. With the help of Seneca each student is guaranteed to graduate with professionalism like no other.
