Algonquin College has an outstanding reputation for offering a diverse range of extra-curricular activities, student-oriented clubs, services, and a close association with the cities of Ottawa, Perth, and Pembroke.

Offered through the Algonquin Students’ Association, clubs include:

Ottawa Campus

  • Park Canada Adventurers: Discover Canada’s national park system, national historical sites, and natural marine conservation areas.
  • Chinese Student Alliance: A home away from home for Chinese students.
  • International Student’s Club: For those looking for the opportunity to experience a new culture.
  • The Cr8tive N8tives: Create Aboriginal crafts, including dream catchers, porcupine quill earrings, hand drums, and moccasins.
  • Indian Student Alliance: Enhances and promotes Indian Culture.
  • Law Society: Collaborate with other students to host events and to create opportunities for networking within the Ottawa legal community.
  • Mamidosewin Thunder Drum: A First Nations, Inuit, and Metis drum group practicing traditional songs.
  • Algonquin Vietnamese Student Alliance: Provides support and advice for Vietnamese students through events and workshops.
  • African Club: Provides a familiar, nurturing environment for African students.

Pembroke Campus

  • Algonquin Rock Climbers: Travel to nearby indoor and outdoor spots to learn, practice and teach others climbing techniques.

Perth Campus

  • Yoga Club: Yoga is instructed with compassion, integrity, and acceptance while simultaneously connecting to students in a safe and joyful manner.
