Deciding which university to attend is one of the most important choices you’ll make during high school, but figuring out which program to apply for comes a pretty close second.

At the University of Calgary, we understand how hard it can be to select just one program. That’s why we allow you to be considered for a first and a second choice program – if you aren’t granted admission to your first choice program, we’ll then consider you for your second choice. It’s like getting two admission opportunities for the price of one application! Just be sure be sure to choose the programs that you truly want to pursue and double-check that you have the academic qualifications to enter them.

As you decide what to apply for, keep in mind that some very high demand programs can only be considered as a first choice option; two examples would include the Bachelor of Health Sciences programs and the Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience.

If you have consistently held your average in the 90s, we encourage you to apply for both Early Admission and our prestige awards by December 15, 2014. But if your average isn’t that high, don’t worry! We’ll continue to accept admission and award applications until March 1, 2015.
