These days it’s hard to escape the word ‘employability’, but what does it really mean for you, the student? At Cardiff Metropolitan University we believe it means developing the confidence and capability to manage your own career path and to make a really positive contribution to the economy and society. It’s about developing attributes and skills that will serve you well throughout your life. To achieve that, we offer:

  • High quality courses that have strong links with industry and the professions, including options for work experience
  • Extensive opportunities for personal and career development

In addition to this, our students have access to the Careers Department who can assist with planning their career, CV and applications advice, job searching and interview practice. This service is available to our student during their studies and for three years after graduation.

The most successful students in an increasingly competitive graduate labour market will be the ones who make the most of these opportunities from the moment they arrive, setting themselves apart from the crowd.

Our focus on employability and graduate opportunities has ensured that 96% of our graduates enter employment or further study within six months of graduation (DLHE 2015).

Take some time to explore our Employability and Graduate profile pages and find out just what we have to offer. Work experience modules or opportunities integrated in the majority of our courses
