Graduating with practical experience and a professional portfolio is a great way to jumpstart your career. At Tyndale University College you will gain hands-on experience in whatever program you choose. Here are just a few of the ways Tyndale students are getting the experience they need for a bright future:

Leadership on Campus and in the Community

With over 50 student leadership opportunities to choose from, Tyndale students are making a big impact by taking on important leadership roles. One Human Services - Social Service Work student created his own social justice club on campus, and won a community leadership award for his work mentoring underprivileged youth. A History and Global Studies major advocated to restore a former prisoner-of-war camp, and was invited to Parliament to present her ideas in front of Canadian leaders.

Editing Books

Students interested in a career in writing or communications have been hired by their professors to copy edit their published work. Other students have been hired as research assistants, and one English major was even asked to write an entire chapter in his professor's book. Because the class sizes at Tyndale are small, professors really get to know their students and love offering them unique opportunities to build their portfolios.

Overseas Internships

There are so many exciting internship opportunities available at Tyndale - from leading human rights awareness campaigns in Africa, to running a social skills summer camp for children living with autism. Business students in the International Development program have traveled to Malawi to support women with disabilities, while others work at local non-profits.
