With every New Year comes the opportunity to start fresh and develop good habits that you can carry out to the end of the year. triOS College has put together a list of helpful tips on how to finish your new term on a high note, before taking on post-secondary.

Finding and Maintaining Balance
Many people have responsibilities that need to be maintained while they are completing their education. The programs at triOS offer you half-day classes, so it is easier to create a plan that will allow you to get everything done to the best of your ability.

Work With Your Fellow Students and Teacher
There is a good chance that other students in your class have similar questions. Talk to them and learn about what is or is not working for them. Also, get together with your fellow pupils outside of class to help each other with studying or quizzes. Your teacher is also here to help! Be sure to ask them for clarification on anything you don’t fully understand. They can also offer advice on the best ways to maximize your time in class.

Arrive Early
It is always a good idea to show up early whether it is for school, a new job, or even a current job. Arriving early gives you a better chance at getting settled into your work. It can allow you time to enjoy a snack, catch up on some work you may have missed, or to have a conversation with your classmates or teacher.

Happy New Year and good luck in your studies this semester!
