Keep up the hard work and continue to put your best foot forward during your final stretch of high school!

As the new semester approaches, use this time to develop some new and improved habits to prepare for what’s to come, especially since what you’re learning now can serve as a foundation for your first year in university!

Students often find that they have a heavier workload or don’t have enough time to juggle everything when they transition into university. Having good time management skills can help alleviate this. Consider developing this skill now using your current schedule and assignments.

We’ve compiled a study skills package that includes helpful study tips and why they’re important in nine different areas including:

  • learning and remembering
  • time management
  • listening and note-taking
  • preparing for exams

The Student Success Office at the University of Waterloo also offers many online resources that are available to help you work on some similar areas as well as life skills, writing skills, and test strategies.

Your last few months in high school is the perfect time to ensure you have what you need to succeed – what environment you study best in, what routine you should follow to feel good, and the most effective way to take notes.

Make the most out of this time!
